The Santa Ynez-style bridle reins are 24-plait with bodies braided in natural calf and all the fine buttonwork in calf hide string darkened with black walnut dye. This type of light rein was traditionally used on 'finished' or finely trained bridle horses for fiestas or other special occasions. Sale Price $13,000

The reins are attached to the romal with loops and buttons. The traditional function allows the rider to disconnect the romal and wear it around his waist to keep it from interfering with his reata coils while roping. Note the unique 'rope twist' created with the fine braided individual strands -- giving a one-of-a-kind look to these Santa Ynez reins. Sale Price $13,900

The two-rein bosal has a braided rawhide core and a 24-plait body of natural calf hide. All buttons are extremely fine and created with onion-dyed calf hide. It is finished with a traditional light hanger of kangaroo leather and a matching two-pattern mane-hair mecate. Sale Price $3,200

Nate Wald’s light, fine, California-style quirt has a 24-plait body of natural calf hide. All button work is dyed calf hide string. The light, contrasting popper includes the TCAA logo. Sale Price $8,800

Each delicate strand of the button string was beveled and colored with a natural onion dye. The natural body was braided over a twisted rawhide core to create just the right weight and flexibility. Sale Price $8,800
